This is another effective illusion by the artist David Macdonald. When you look at the terrace, are you looking at the underside or topside of it? And how can those people be there?
The photographer Macdonald, whose illusions can be found in many books, first uses traditional photography to capture an image. He then uses computer generated images to produce strange illusions like this one. The terrace appears to have two topsides, but of course it only has one. Its perspective also seems to make it curve slightly. Macdonald has added features to this strange illusion to trick our minds.
