Consider the image and ask yourself if you could build it.
At first glance, it appears simple enough, but when you follow the sides with your eyes, you come unstuck. Strange perspectives have been achieved in this 3D shape with the help of colour to shade and highlight areas and to confuse our minds. A straight pole drives through the centre of the object, yet the two diamonds do not act the way we expect them to. Are they behind each other or side by side?
Colour is important and is often used in optical illusions to achieve unusual perspectives.
Think you could build that?
